30. Audience Feedback

Ident 1

For ident 1, i was receiving feedback such as the video was long, which was initially my mistake as i hadn't realized it was 6 minutes long so what people told me to do was speed it up but making sure that it wasn't too quick for the audience to not notice what was going on. To resolve this problem, i had to use the tool to speed it up and also cut a few bits out to make sure that it was perfect and was up to 60 seconds. I also had remarks about the ident being too quiet, which i understood once i had checked the edit so to fix this i had to include copyright free jolly music. Lastly the most common thing that people were pointing out was that they didn't know it was an ident for food network until i had told them so what i needed to do was create my own ending with the logo, and i took ideas from the actual shows ident and created the swirling effects

Ident 2

In Ident 2, the ident was too long, which was the issue as ident 1, i had the mistake of making the ident nearly 2 minutes long, which it should only be 30 seconds long, so what i had to do was ask people where it was best to remove sections and also where it would be best to speed up the video. Issue number 2 was that this one didn't have any audio which made the ident very bland and boring which no body wants to see so i also had to use copyright free material to make the video stand out more and in comparison to professional edits. Lastly, the end of the ident was also plain which meant that the audience didn't understand what the ident meant, it just looked like a cooking video, so what needed to be done was also add in the logo for food network and give it a graphic to make it move and make it more interesting.

Ident 3

Lastly, ident 3 had all of the issues above. The music wasn't there to make the ident interesting, then i had to add the music in and i had to choose wisely as there were music that didn't suit the ident at all. I also sped up the footage even more and cut out more sections and also added in the logo to make sure that all three idents are similar.

10. LO2- Legal, moral and ethical issues

Legal: It is something that is against that law and it requires a courts decision. When it comes to a media product, this could be using someone's music and requiring permission.
Moral: An issue with the potential to help or harm anyone or personally. For media products, it would be when someone would believe if something is right or wrong for a media product like moral issues to a video game.
Ethical Issues: This is a problem that requires a society or group that chooses between what is right and what's wrong. When it comes to media products, this is when a group would decide if any of the things that I am doing are wrong for example using animals in a video and getting them injured which would make them decide it is ethically wrong.

For my initial ideas for issues, I would need to consider using copyright free music and creative commons music which is a system that allows you to legally use "some rights reserved" music, movies, images, and other content — all for free or by crediting the artist of the music.
Another issue might be that my idea is completely a copy of a current ident which I have done thorough research for idents like my ideas however there are only ones that are similar ideas but not completely the same.

OFCOM is responsible for regulating television idents and they do this by using their OFCOM broadcasting code which has 13 sections on the practices to be followed when creating and publishing a Television ident and "to help readers understand the standards objectives and to apply the rules".
