These TV idents were one of the first TV idents for the channel since they were starting out new for the UK. The channel originally came out in 1993 in the US, however the channel came out in 2009 in the UK and that is when they started to introduce these sorts of idents. In the beginning they started out with just the tv channels logo but they then gradually moved onto including actual food into their tv ident since it looks pleasing to the audience and its a channel that is based on food so the producers and editors believed it was best to include something that is not plain and try out something new. The idents began with just the logo but then gradually, because of the channel popularity, the channel started to introduce the foods but just a closer view of the food and then slowly fade bringing out the logo. Laster on, the channel brang in actual video of how to create the food but quickly and then showing the logo around the food. After these idents came the idents with the show presenters cooking like idents with Jamie Oliver, a chef that has a couple shows on Food Network e.g. Jamies 15 minute meals. This also allows people that are watching the channel to know what might come up in another episode and make them want to watch it more.
